The holiday schedule for 2026 is here!

With the approval of the State Council, the specific arrangements for the holiday in 2026 ,including New Year's Day, Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day, are hereby notified as follows.


1.  New Year's Day: The holiday will be from January 1st (Thursday) to January 3rd (Saturday), with 3 days off in total. Work will resume on January 4th (Sunday).


2.  Spring Festival: The holiday, including make - up leave, will be from February 15th, Sunday (the 28th day of the 12th lunar month) to February 23rd, Monday (the 7th day of the 1st lunar month), lasting for 9 days in total. Work will resume on February 14th (Saturday) and February 28th (Saturday).


3.  Qingming Festival: The holiday will be from April 4th (Saturday) to April 6th (Monday), lasting 3 days.


4.  Labor Day: The holiday will be from May 1st (Friday) to May 5th (Tuesday), with 5 days off in total. Work will resume on May 9th (Saturday).


5.  Dragon Boat Festival: The holiday will be from June 19th (Friday) to June 21st (Sunday), totaling 3 days.


6.  Mid - Autumn Festival: The holiday will be from September 25th (Friday) to September 27th (Sunday), with a sum of 3 days.


7.National Day Holiday: There will be a holiday and make - up leave from Thursday, October 1st to Wednesday, October 7th, amounting to 7 days. Work will resume on Sunday, September 20th and Saturday, October 10th.


Encourage units and individuals to make combined use of systems like paid annual leave to effectively form longer holidays and promote peak-load shifting travel. During the holidays, all regions and departments should make proper arrangements for duty, safety, and epidemic prevention and control. In case of major emergencies, they should report and handle them in a timely and proper manner according to regulations, ensuring that the people can spend their holiday peacefully and safely.
